Position Overview

We are seeking motivated and entrepreneurial Business Connectivity Consultants to develop relationships with business owners and help organizations identify opportunities to improve their connectivity, communications, and technology infrastructure.

This is a true independent contractor opportunity designed for self-starters who are comfortable prospecting, networking, and building their own book of business while leveraging the support, systems, and industry partnerships provided by Tailored Telco Solutions.

Approved Sales Agents / Direct Partners may be able to support customer opportunities across a broad provider and solution ecosystem through Tailored Telco Solutions and our partner network.

Help customers evaluate business internet, fiber, broadband, multi-location connectivity, backup internet, and failover options.

Wireless & Mobility

Support conversations around business wireless, mobility, mobile connectivity, wireless backup, and related solutions.

Voice, VoIP & UCaaS

Offer customers options for business phone systems, VoIP, UCaaS, cloud communications, and contact center needs.

SD-WAN, Networking & Security

Identify opportunities involving SD-WAN, network performance, failover, managed technology, and security-adjacent solutions.

Access to a full portfolio of options for your clients and customers rather than one carrier.

This helps Sales Agents / Direct Partners take a more consultative approach instead of forcing every customer into a single-provider recommendation.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop relationships with business owners and decision-makers.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand current business challenges and operational needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business internet, communications, wireless, and connectivity solutions.
  • Present customized recommendations tailored to each client’s objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal resources to develop proposals and solutions.
  • Manage an active pipeline of prospects and opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships throughout the sales process and beyond.
  • Network and establish referral partnerships to generate additional opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Previous B2B sales experience required.
  • Telecommunications, connectivity, or technology sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to build long-term income.
  • Professional appearance and reliable transportation.

Independent Contractor Requirements

Designed for independent business professionals.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Consultants are responsible for providing and maintaining the tools and resources necessary to perform their duties.

Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
Laptop and/or tablet for field and remote work
Mobile phone and internet access
Appropriate business attire
Ability to travel locally to meet clients and prospects
Certificate of Insurance meeting company requirements before onboarding

Insurance Requirements

Required prior to onboarding: Commercial General Liability Insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate; Commercial Auto Insurance meeting applicable state requirements for business use of a vehicle; Certificate of Insurance naming Tailored Telco Solutions, LLC as certificate holder.

Recommended: Errors & Omissions (E&O) Insurance to provide protection against claims arising from professional recommendations, services, or omissions.

Sales Agents / Direct Partners represent themselves as independent business professionals while supporting customer opportunities through Tailored Telco Solutions.

Prospect independently and manage an active pipeline.
Follow provider, channel, privacy, and marketing rules.
Avoid misrepresenting providers, pricing, promotions, availability, or guaranteed savings.
Maintain required insurance before onboarding and keep coverage active as required.
Use professional discovery before making recommendations.
Understand that compensation varies and is not guaranteed.

Compensation

Commission-based with uncapped earning potential.

This is a 100% commission-based independent contractor opportunity. Compensation varies based on effort, prospecting activity, experience, customer mix, provider compensation, closed revenue, and sales performance.

The program may include recurring residual income opportunities and performance incentives where available. Actual earnings vary and are not guaranteed. A detailed compensation plan may be provided to qualified candidates during the review process.
